Boulders Penguins, False Bay wales, and Cape Point

Here is another great day out.
Had some hours at Boulders, on the penguin colony.

Then onto Cape Point

The old lighthouse

There were 3 wales in False Bay.
The closest was about 100 meters off the shore.
.

.

.

.
We could here them communicating to each other, with their low, deep sounds.
.

.
I have never been so close to wales in the open sea, nor ever heard them for real.

Yes,
From the old light house to the point is another 45 minutes walk, each way.
That is where we got the best view of the wales.
The path is quite high up, until it starts to drop to where the new light house is.
The sounds of the wales is breath taking.
Actually, they make quite an 'erie ' sound.

Ha ha - Boulders beach - about 20 minutes from 'home'

Used to have a chuckle at all the visitors looking for the donkeys there - they're not called Jackass Penguins for nothing

Did part of my rescue diver course there - I'm pretty sure the penguins deliberately bombed us under water

Weather looks nice - homesick now
