can I turbo / supercharge my 3F

I have a 1988 75 series land cruiser with a 3F engine. I am on my p plates and still learning about my car. I'm not too sure how they run with any kind of turbo or supercharger or weather or not this is even possible, however engine is lacking power an I am trying to find a way to increase power. it already has extractors and running a holly carb (not sure weather this would improve anything) although I am chasing a little more power fuel economy is an issue for me so if running a turbo or supercharger is possible I was wanting to know how badly this would effect fuel consumption.
