Hello everyone
I have a 105 series
My central differential lock is engaging while drive on road without warning randomly and wont disengage!
The button is in off position so no accidental pressing!
Any ideas on what's causing this?
Thanks in advance
Andy

I'm assuming your transmission and running gear is the same as an 80 series. This must be an electrical fault, either with the switches on the transfer case, the DL ECU or the wiring. It's just a case of methodically testing the switches on the transfer case and the wiring with a multi meter. There are some basic checks you can do on the DL ECU with a multi meter, outlined in the FSM but they quite basic and not known for going wrong.

My first course of action would be to disconnect the centre diff lock actuator from the loom to stop it engaging....
Then pull the dash switch and disconnect that..... drive as normal and see if you get the light come on..... if you still get the light coming on then it's down to the Mk1 eyeball inspection of the entire loom involving the CDL , look for crush marks or damage where someone has maybe changed a clutch and trapped the loom.....
