clutch booster

Hi guys

Anyone knows where can I get hold of a clutch booster for my BJ70? Part number is 31440-60070. I can't find anywhere

toyota should still sell it new.
i can get them here in Canuckistan if you still have issues.

I went to Toyota's (here in Malta of course), but they said they don't have them anymore. :\

Is your clutch booster actually broken? I ask because I thought I had this problem on my KZJ and it turned out to be a knackered master cylinder.

Honestly I don't know as I don't understand anything about these things. I will pass on your suggestion to my mechanic though. Today I should be ordering a kit for the master-cylinder...maybe there's a chance for it to be saved. Fingers crossed!

The clutch master cylinder on the KZJ70 is not fitted with a vacuum booster.

Roger - I was referring to the spring booster on the KZJ clutch pedal - wrong terminology perhaps?

Problem should be solved...mechanic replaced the seals and booster is working again

The heavy duty 70 series and 60 series have a power booster which uses vacuum to make it easier to press the clutch pedal

Similar system to a brake booster then. The KZJ 70 is classed as light duty. The spring booster mentioned by John helps to push the pedal back to it's static position.

Yes it even looks like the brake booosters little brother. I had one on my HJ61 but dont really miss it. Although I imagine a female or someone with a dodgy leg would welcome it
