Here are a few pictures of a 40 that i picked up, she starts and runs fairly decent and shifts through the gears pretty smooth . With that being said heres a question to the guys that drive their rigs on a daily or close to daily basis. What are the typical problems that most of you run into mechanicaly speaking.

Hi, My 40 is my only vehicle, so it's my daily driver. Photos didn't come up on your post for me so I'm not sure if petrol or diesel. Mine is diesel (60 series 2H, 5spd). Things to do/watch for: Steering: if you have stock steering but it looks like slightly larger wheels then the track rod ends and the over-centre set which does wear. Just keep all the levels up, grease it regularly and it should be fine. I've done 20,000 kms this last year including Spain-UK-Spain and an Andorra trip without any hassles. Hope that helps Cheers
