Currently sat in 48deg Turkey, having a great holiday!

Turtle-watching going on at beach, waters really clear.

Bobbing about on a lilo, f*****g turtle bites my foot, swear to god it felt like a shark!

Two bruised toes, with small bite marks.....if it wasnt protected Id have done for it - well, if I hadnt been screaming and hopping around on one foot.

Hardcore expeditionist, thats me :)

Stay in Blighty, no chance of such injuries....:icon-biggrin:

:laughing-rolling: Not at your injury, but at the way you tell it

Last time I was on a seaside holiday in Turkey, it was jellies, not turtles that gave the bovver.

Buggers were everywhere but it was more the thought of it than any real danger, none of us were stung.

Happy snapping Wobbly!

Turtle power! Sorry, but it sounds funny :)

Maybe not Great White standard, but still hurts. Imagine putting yout toe in a vice and tightening......

I hate wildlife.

I had the life frightened out of me last week whilst windsurfing in Daymer Bay (Padstow area) fooking big black thing appeared beneath me whilst I'm planing along at 20mph odd.

It was a dolphin!!! followed by another 4 adults & baby one - They then started jumping all round me - awesome experience

I had a similar experience the first time out in my little ski boat off the Cardigan coast, west Wales. They're massive (12' at a guess) especially when they surface 3' away from the boat at 30 knots!

After the initial shock, it's a fantastic experience!

Protected means you must not post pics of your turtle soup :icon-wink:
