The glass in the door mirrors is now a little ’loose’ ie the glass vibrates as you drive. It seems well attached, bit what its attached to has gone sloppy. Any thoughts?

This happened to mine a while back. IIRC the mirror sits on a backing plate with two slots at the top which hook onto two lugs and is secured at the bottom underneath with a screw. The backing plate on mine had broken round one of the slots so I made a small plate with a slot in it from thin aluminium sheet and screwed/glued it to the backing plate. Been OK since.

Great, I’ll take a look. How do you remove the glass to access what lies behind?

There's a hole in the base of the mirror housing to access the locating screw.

Yes the little plastic holders break. I drilled a hole in mine and pushed a steel holding pin in.

Same here, removed and glued/bodged a lug. Left hand one just fell apart, righthand had a coming together.

It happened rather quickly - one day good, next day shaking. Thanks for the advice.
