There's not much room behind the seat before you either hit the rear seat (if fitted) or the rear inner arch but if yo release the 4 bolts that hold the seat to the lower frame and then move it back as far as possible and drill new holes. You may lose the adjuster but then you might gain a couple of inches.
I don't have standard seats so I can't go look but there is an exploded diagram in www.sor.com that might help.
