My son has just bought a set of Colways, 265's from 4x4 accesories and
tyres. They are retreads but they look ok to me. They cost him =A3180
(4) and are an AT tread. The same tread as BFG at's.
Regards, Clive.

Hi Clive
I have thought about retreads for the cruiser but im still not sure . I
know they are cheaper but just some thing keeps telling me that I would feel
safer knowing I was the first to use the tyre and that it was all one piece,
not one piece glued to another. Over here its nearly impossible to get
retreads or remoulds as they are always called here. I asked one of the big
companies it could have been Bronco whats the story with the retreads. They
told me that they have a one years warrenty same as a new tyre and the
system for selecting a tyre to be used as a retread is very strict. They
said that the walls of the retreads are perfect thats its just the tread
that wore down. I dont know, to me anyway I think all tyres that have been
used untill the original tread is bald or near bald had to have some impact
on the life of the walls of the tyres, curbs, stones etc. I have always felt
that your tyres and your brakes are the only things going to stop you. But
if as you say you look at the retreads that do look good but I just cant
help wondering what has that tyre gone true in its life.

ce,
Guys,
This may have changed now, but I remember some years ago if you wanted
to get four retreads you had to order five and return one (either the
smallest or the biggest). That was the only way to have all tyres of
reasonably similar diameter.

tyres [ 80]

Hi Guys
I have been trying to find a picture of an 80 cruiser with a 2inch lift and
a 31 inch or 33 inch tyre on a 15 inch rim but can't. Would a 33 inch tyre
fit the 80 cruiser if it had a 2 inch lift or should I get my brain down to
earth and just look at the 31 inch tyres. I am still compiling info for all
the bits I want to do to the cruiser.
Thanks as usual
