Hi Guys
Just a couple of questions. I am slowly moving on and on so the next thing
is where do you drain the engine coolant from, all of it.
I know there is a plug on the engine but cant find it.
Do we have glow plugs on these cruisers and if so where are they and how do
you know when to replace them.

Normally it's to be found at the lowest point of the cooling system -
under the radiator on the right hand side and it's called radiator
drain cock.

If we have diesel engines, we do have them - one on top of each
cylinder. We do not know there is a problem until the engine refuses
to fire. Then we first try blaming our glow plugs, which rather
misses the point because in those climes temperatures hardly ever drop
below zero, hence our plugs are not very useful anyway.
We check our glow plugs by removing them from the engine and
connecting the isolated tip to one battery terminal and the body to
the other. If we are careful enough not to hold them with our bare
hands we do not need to seek medical attention as the plugs they
become red hot.
If they don't get hot, we curse them, bin them and buy new ones.
