Exhaust

Andy, the old exhaust was on its way out. I priced a new one from Milner and figured that for about =A3150 extra I was getting a bigger bore system, in stainless steel and that I did not have to fit it. I had a courtesy car for the day thrown in. Fitment was about 8 hours so I didn't waste my day.
The system with only one siliencer is a bit "throatier" than standard but not excessive. As it is far lees restrictive the turbo does seem to spool up a bit quicker. The only true test is on the dynomometer.
Contact Longlife exhausts. I used their HQ office located between Bristol and Glouscester, just by Slimbridge wildfowl centre.

Hi all,
I have a friend that has a 96 80 series petrol. This friend is in
need of an exhaust system and has been told main dealer only. This is
=A31500. Does any one have any experience of a cheaper supply. Thanks.
Regards, Clive.

Hi Clive,
That's rediculous. Does that include Catalytic convertors?
Normally I would suggest Milner Offroad (http://www.milneroffroad.com),
but they don't appear to list anything on their site - might be worth
giving them a call.
Bearing in mind the Gareth got a custom Stainless Steel one made up for
?600 for his HDJ80, your friend could trot around the local custom
exhaust shops to find out what it will cost to get one made up.

Hi Clive,
What engine does it have? Is it a V8?

Hi Clive
That seems very extremly expensive for the exhaust. The whole system over
here is about 700 euro which I thought was a rip off. Your friend didn't say
he wanted it gold plated did he. I would tell him about the Long life
exhaust and then he is finished for good.
