I know its not a Cruiser but I wanted it to get the advert out to the masses. It is in a roundabout way LC related as I have been promised another truck once the house has been sold:icon-biggrin:.....

Anyway...

My 2 bedroom fisherman's cottage is up for sale 20 miles north of Aberdeen. The property is in hamlet of Whinnyfold, perched on the top of granite cliffs overlooking Cruden Bay.

Whinnyfold is an amazing place and as some of you already know it is a serious wrench for me to be leaving this fantastic place. Words don't describe how I feel about this move and I can safely say I would try to move back there one day if the opportunity should arise. The neighbours are wonderful, the village life was something to be experienced. Most of the time the village was quiet and relaxing but at other times we would all get together for village parties or bbq's and the like. If I ever needed a hand with something or advice I knew one of them would bend over backwards to help.

Whinnyfold was famously home to Bram Stoker who lived in the "Crooked Lumb". Both Whinnyfold and the "Crooked Lumb" are mentioned in books written by the famous author. Slains Castle, which can be seen from the front room window, is said to have been the inspiration behind Draculas Transylvanian lair in the book. Its easy to see why when you see pictures of the building in its former glory.

The resident of Whinnyfold also received a silver medal for Gallantry for the rescue of the crew of the Danish steamship Xenia in 1903.

The house is a granite built 2 bedroom cottage with oil fired central heating and double glazing (Pilkington K). Recently I fitted a kitchen and installed calor gas for the cooker. I have also fitted brand new bathroom (my missus has never even seen it finished except in photos). It has 2 double sized bedrooms with built in storage. A decent sized front room with a fire place and view across the fields and Cruden Bay towards Port Erroll and Slains Castle. Outside there is a small garage with power, utility room which has light and plumbing, a large brick shed with power and a 10' x 8' garden shed. At the rear there is an enclosed garden with views over towards the sea. There is a drive to the front of the property and to the side next to the road.

50 yards from the house is a path down to the cobble beach where you can moor a boat in the sheltered inlet.

In Scotland there is a sealed bid system, We are looking for bids over £175,000. The house has been valued at £180K If you are interested and wish to view then give me a call on 07956324546 and I can arrange for a neighbour to show you around or call Aberdein Considine on 01358 721893 for a formal viewing.

Houses in Whinnyfold don't come up that often and when they do they don't sit around too long as its such a nice place. As I said before this is not a sale I am going to enjoy as there will always be a bit of my heart devoted to Whinnyfold and its residents.

Oh yeah and the Estrel folding caravan is also for sale
