Now that our move date to Oz has firmed up, I have also stepped up my prep for our 12 month trip when we get there. I already have a winchbar, winch and some other goodies waiting in Brisbane. This weekend I also bought a camper trailer. It is a used Customline Deluxe Offroad that the previous owner has done almost all the right mods too.

TRAILER:
Heavy duty 7x4 offroad trailer
45mm square solid axle with parallel bearings - rated at 1900kgs
Spare set of greased bearings
7 leaf Australian Made eye to eye shackle springs with rebound spring
500mm high sides
Tregg offroad coupling (I will be changing this to an Ozhitch or similar)
10 inch Electric Brakes
Pneumatic fold up jockey
Lockable tool box (1160x400x400)
Alloy protective plate over wheel arches (protect from stone damage)
2 x 20L Jerry can holder
2 x Gas bottle holders with gas bottles
BBQ Table – attaches to the passenger side wheel arch
Swing out tailgate with steel kitchen box to which we have added timber draws and cupboards and a flip over table and slide out shelf.
Custom made slide out storage drawer and pantry (I will see how well this has been made and might change it for a Drifta setup)
2 x 100mm PVC pole carriers located behind the storage box
15 x 7 Alloy wheels x 3 & 31 x 10.5 x 15" LT A/T tyres x 3 (I would like to change these for matching 16" cruiser wheels if they fit)
70 ltr water tank with locked filler and hand pump
Stone guard
Heavy duty gas struts on camper top
Wind down stabilizer legs
LED Tail lights

ELECTRICS:
Anderson plug on drawer bar
100 Amp AGM battery
Baintech 6 Blade fuse panel
30 Amp Isolation switch
Double Merit Plug near kitchen
Double Cigarette Plug on bed base
Hardwired LED internal lights on tent bows

TENT:
12 ft Australian made Canvas 15oz roof and walls
Full set of screen and canvas awing walls and draft skirt under rear of the trailer
Double stitched seams with heavy duty thread
Double thick canvas used on all wear points
Tent floor is a fully sealed 'tub' design using heavy duty PVC, plus external 'storm' flap
Awnings over bed window, opposite wall and annex
Carpeted lift up bed base
Marine Carpet inserts to protect tent floor
Queen size Dunlop 150mm thick foam mattress (I also have a memory foam topper)
Reinforced 'bows' (roof supports) - double thickness gal tube in all corners
Main awning measures 18' x 8'
Heavy Duty Silver tarp sized to cover tent and awning roof (keeps tent/awning much cooler)
Heavy duty silver tarp cut to size to go under tent floor (for protection)
6 x midgie/sand fly proof meshed windows
1 x midgie/sand fly proof meshed door
Internal storage pockets
Extra 6" height in PVC travel cover, plus the original travel cover
All poles, pegs, springed guy ropes
Shade cloth flooring for annexe

Fark me,

How heavy is that going to be?

Gra

Fully loaded will be around 800kg - I was surprised as I thought it would be over a ton. I will also have the fridge and tools in the truck though (maybe another 200kg).

Wow 800 is really Ok then.
It just sounds mega heavy reading the listing.

Same wheels as the LC ?

Not at the moment. It has 15" alloys fitted that I want to change to matching 16" LC alloys if they fit under the arches. It is possible to lift the trailer by attaching the leaf springs to the top of the axle (rather than on bottom like it is now), but then the tent won't fit perfectly like it does now.

This trailer is considered a very good quality mid-range trailer. The Customline tents are top of the range.

ummm, moving the springs under the axle from over will lower the unit ...
i am sure you meant to say it the other way around.

Oops  Fixed now :)

Good looking trailer.

Dont forget that anything listed as "camping" may have to go through extra cleaning and certification on top of the usual stuff.
