front lights

Dear Reno,
Thanks for responding from Versaille. I appreciate your willingness to
help.
Well I do need some help. To register my UK bought LC 80 in France I need
to change the front lights. Toyota dealers wanted to charge me 750 euros
for a L and R front light unit. So I looked around and found a LC part
dealer in the US who could get me new lights for $189 a piece. I received
it today and was very disappointed because the bulb fixtures are different
that the European light fixtures, so I have to return it.
Is there anyone who knows where I can pick up a used L and R front light
unit. These lights must be for right hand driving. Do you know of used
dealers in France or Germany who can speak English, so that I can
communicate with them?
We live close to Paris.
Looking forward to hear from you
Reno you can contact me directly at my email address:

Hi Willie!
>I recently bought an 1992 80 VX 4.2 auto in England and am in the process
preparing it to be registered in France .
You might run into a little resistance from French administrations about
rhd, but I see others registered over here so stick to your guns as it were.
>Where can I get good but inexpensive TLC parts in France where people can
speak English.
I've been living here since 1994, used to live out near Versailles. Finding
English speaking vendors is tough here, but it's eased up slightly in the
last few years. I'm pretty good with French so if you get in a jam I could
translate for you.

I would suggest Holland, quite a few LC there (need it for the hills or
perhaps they are getting ready to do some deep water wading). Nearly all
the Dutch speak English (better than me at least) but I reckon you guys in
the ELCO French chapter will sort it out.
>From your name I assume you have some Dutch connection in the past, do you
speak Afrikaans or are Dutch / Afrikaans too far separated anyway to help
you in Holland?
Anyway Toyota Holland do have a nice search page for dealers.

Dear Malcolm,
Thanks for the info, I will follow up on it.
Well, I am originally South African, so Afrikaans is my mother tongue. In
Holland we can get by with Afrikaans. We also lived in Namibia (our
favorite country), the USA and Latvia.
Thanks
