Reminds me of a simple story at the family house in Brum when I was about ten, the neighbour's kids 3 doors up had a bean-can phone set up with the string going the full length of their garden.

One shouted at the top of his lungs "can you 'ere me?" (The whole lane could hear him at that volume) and his brother replied, equally as loud "No!".

None of us in the family have forgotten that episode, it still makes us laugh!
