Hi,
I purchased a 1989 HJ60 after getting into them during a work trip to Japan.
Purchased in July but only recently been able to spend a bit more time on it. So far I’ve cleaned up the interior, sorted through the parts and given the engine bay and chassis a quick blast. It had lived outside for some time but is now undercover. It’s done 140,000 miles and underneath all the dirt in the interior it started to come up pretty nicely. The bodywork is another story though!
I’m hoping to get it running around the farm, with a view long term to taking it out on camping and trail trips.
I’m totally new to vehicle restoration but work in but work in production so spend a lot of time on engineering problems each day so hopefully that helps with this also.
Here’s a few pics of it before the work started. It’s been great to get into and loving learning something new. Obviously I’m going to be on the hunt for spares and advice along the way!
Cheers,
Charles
