Hello from Costa Rica

Hello everyone!

I am living in Costa Rica and looking for a nice classic FJ 40 or FJ 60 that has been restored. Prefer resto that includes upgraded power steering and disk brakes. I’d also like a resto that will support export to USA.

I had a modern FJ in the USA but I have always wanted a classic one. I never found one that wasn’t riddled with rust.

Hello and welcome...

Some years ago there a 40 specialist in Costa Rica, named Pilgrim Restorations or Pilgrim xxxx, (sorry can't remember exact title) but they did full 40 restorations and they also made the body panels/ tubs/etc for Cool Cruisers of Texas CCOT but I haven't seen any of their 40s for a while but it is worth seeing if they are still about. The guy who owned it was from the UK.

Thanks Roger. I’ll try to track him down - so far a few dead ends and expired links.

The adventure of finding the right one will hopefully also come with making new friends!
