My name is Elvin Danai from KL, Malaysia. I just recently took ownership of this beautiful truck, year 2000 Land Cruiser 100 series, HDJ101K.
Was earlier a bit worried about my new purchase since I got it at a cheaper price compared to the market average with 252,456KM registered. Sent it to a reputable mechanic for a thorough inspection and repair recommendation. Happy to report there were no issue with the engine and transmissions. I had all the fluids, belts, hoses, and bushes inspected and replaced. Quite a lot of them replaced really, understandably for a 22 years old truck. Minor engine and front axile leaks were dealt with and service done on the front and rear brake. Now, the truck works perfectly!
Modification so far - installed ATF cooler and catch tank.
Next is to upgrade the original suspensions and springs with the 2-inch lift kits, install a snorkel, front bumper with a winch, rear bumper with towing hook, a roof rack and a new 17 inch rims and tires.
The long term goal is to have the truck as a comfortable and reliable overlander.
Regards,
