Good evening or morning? I have an early '95 4.2 24V 80 series. Often abused and neglected, owned in family since 2004.

Hi Pete and welcome. Post up some pics of your 80. We love to see pics on here. 80s seem to survive being neglected but benefit from some TLC once in a while. You’ll find plenty of info and friendly helpful members on here.
Good to have you aboard.

Best wishes
Rich

Will do. It has been knocked on every corner (mostly by me).
Everyone in the family has driven it at sometime including both my of my late parents.
I am struggling to remove the immobiliser at the moment.
I can bridge wires and turnover the engine but cannot start.
With everything plugged in I can do the reset by removing battery connection switching key on then reconnecting batteries. Unlike, in the past, this is only a one time sort. As soon as engine switched of by the key the reset is required.
