My name is Chris from NZ, I own a1995 Landcruiser VX Limited 80 Series HZJ81 Diesel, auto with the mighty 1HZ non-turbo engine done only 245k km.
recently installed a 2" lift and wow it's a different car to drive now. I owned several Landcruiser in my life ; 1988 HJ62, 1992 1PZ77, 2007 Prado D4D 120 Series and now the 80 series.
Dreaming up to upgrade to a 80 with the 1HD-FT or a 100 series as I live in a hilly city and region and the 1HZ struggle uphill, but I could only afford a 95 series Prado from 98' to 02', I drove a couple and I liked them but they feel as a different league. I found already several useful comments and comparison in this site and probably I'll keep my 80 and spend some $$$ to improve it.
