Hi I'm mike
I live in the U.K. In Surrey
This is my 50th anniversary Toyota Amazon, nick name by my girlfriend given to the car was tom. (Tom cruiser) had an amazon previously but it was rotten, and always wanted another one as a work truck.
80 series I've had a couple they where cool found them sat up for 12 years, fresh fuel and twin jump packs they stared !
Bought it about 8 months ago, it's done 316,000 thousand miles, it was previously owned by a plant operating company so has done lots of hard work, still drives well.
It's got full peddars suspension ahc delete, 15mm rear springs spacers, egr been blanked off and a k and n air filter fitted, 275/75/16 Toyo open country mud tyres.
Recent work I've done is all the rear axle bushes and the most forward diff bush on the offside.
I'm having issues with the centre and rear diff lock, both not working, so I could do with help if there's any gurus on here?
Also would like advice on getting rid of the pre heat thing in the inlet manifold, where it is and what I need to do?
I bought this as I have a discovery 4 that's to nice for me to use to tow my Offroad vehicle around the country, and it's a Land Rover so will go pop one day ! I also use it to collect a lot of willys jeeps as my dad owns a specialist company for them.
Any help would be much appreciated, happy to repost in different parts of the forum is necessary.
All I really do is tow with it to be honest, il try and find a picture of two jeeps on the trailer behind it.
Really do like the truck, done some green lanes in good fun, hope it keeps going for a little while yet !
I've had lots of Toyota landcruiser and hilux ect some pics of the ones I've had, sold a few to frank mohren, he's a guy out in Germany who is into landcruisers in a big way !
Best regards
Mike harris
