High lift jacks

Hey JB,
The best way to use on of these thingies is to buy the special bracket that
fits onto the wheel hub and not use the body lift method. You then get a
quicker lift just as with the bottle jack under the axle. Also worth buying
the large moulded foot to spread the weight and make it a tad steadier.

Jon,
That is on condition you don't want to use your hi-lift for changing wheels :)
For lifting the car it seems to be a better way as it does not involve
lifting all the way up including the length of the spring , but
balancing the jack on a wheel might be a problem.
