Hello all,

I am thinking of buying a summer car for a few months.

I quite like an open top, as i have had a few before.

However, I just don't know what to go for.

I will spend up to about 4k

The ones I though of are as follows, and not really in any prefernce.

Jeep Wrangler
MX5
M3
??

Any more I can add to the list?

Hi Kevin,
That BMW looks nice.

I wonder what my missus's SWB 90 would look like with the roof cut off :?:

Now there's a thought

About the same as a male with freshly sliced off testicles?

Good point well made that one Crispin, I'll keep that one to myself then :p

Seems everyone's missed the obvious choice - Toyota MR2 Roadster ;)

Don't get a drop top 4x4, they're made for hairdressers and well muscled men with fake tans and lots of gel. Get a sports car and you'll enjoy it all the more on those dry twisty stretches of tarmac.

The really obvious choice is a BJ40!!

And as seen at Lincomb!!

How about an old merc SL, no idea on price but you probably wont lose any cash when you sell it!

Now that sounds like the ultimate soft top...........Honda CBR900RR Fireblade.
Just perfect for the twisties. :p

As Gary quite rightly pointed out - A classic drop top 4x4 like the BJ40 is an exception to this rule ;)
