Been absent for a while whilst life caught up with me....

As ex RAF, now in civi street, my current workplace had no plans to observe the 2 minutes silence, being part of the senior team I put it to the management team to which 2 of the 10 (excluding me) voted for recognising the silence. Basic reservations were, will interrupt output, it’s not relevant anymore(I flipped here and nearly said something that would’ve cost me my job) and we are a Swedish firm so don’t need to recognise this.

In the end I shut my office door, had a moment and tear to myself.

Still not calmed down.

In August when we went to Milan I stopped off at a village in Vosges region where the SAS and SOE were causing lots of trouble for the Germans on operation Loyton.

I read about it in a book by Damien Lewis. Under Hitlers Commando Order 31 SAS soldiers were executed, and in retribution over 200 civilians were sent to concentration camps, only 70 returned.
