Innertubes???

Perhaps you can get one of the retreads by insa turbo and the like who have copied the tread pattern? It'll be cheaper than buying a grabber brand new and as it only lives on the back most of the time should be okay?

the driver had put tubes in tubeless tyres on alloy rims as a precaution and had 11 punctures on the tar before we even got to the off-road stuff - the tube got hot and ended up with friction holes in the tubes ...
This is exactly what happens when you fit tubes to tubeless tyres :) The tube rubes the inside of the tyre wall while in use till it rubs right through :) My m8 (LR90 with 255/85/16 BFG KM1's) had awfull trouble with slow leaks around the tyre bead & asked our local tyre fitters (very good) about fitting tubes. They point blankly refused offering a bead seal product instead, problem solved  He then had someone stab two of his tyres with what must have been a braddle/terminal screwdriver one evening to stop him giving chase if they were caught stealing his ladders from off of the top of his Sprinter (they did the van aswell) He bought enough Ultraseal to do both the van & the LR & has not looked back since  He did say that in order to get the Ultraseal to work in the side wall he had to remove the wheel & lay it down on its punctured side :)

Nothing beast the peace of mind that a new tyre offers though  :D
