Interior Light

Hi All,
I've got a small problem, my interior light won't switch off when the
drivers door is closed, when the passenger is closed it works fine, I have
got over the problem temporarily by putting a sticky pad on the door where
the switch touches, but I can't see any way of adjusting the door lock to
ensure the door closes tighter, the screws that hold the door lock mechanism
in place have no adjustment on them does anyone know if it is adjustable??

More likely a worn switch plunger?
Change the switch? Or glue a small extension piece on the end of the
plunger?
Pete

Sorry, should have mentioned I did fit a new door switch, but I shall try to
fit an extension to the plunger, thanks Peter.

Thank you for your bit of lateral thinking Peter, I drilled a small hole in
the end of the plunger and screwed in a self-tapper, not only did it work
but it is also adjustable now by screwing or unscrewing.
