Hi thought it was time to join the club since my Cruiser has hit 470,000, although she is not feeling well today,, she throwing up coolant. :sleepy:

Hi Stephani, welcome to the forum! It's nice to see a few more ladies joining up, we had Natalia from Russia join recently too!

What's your cruiser and year, any pics handy, we love 'em.

Guessing it's a petrol auto, but that's not such a cert these days....

its a 97, I will dig up some photos. It does run on Petrol and Ive had it for approximately 14 plus years.

Sounds great! Any ideas why she's loosing coolant? Doesn't sound good to me, if the coolant is getting pressurized, sounds like the head gasket gone, or a cracked / warped cylinder head...

Repairable (replaceable) but none of it good news...

Doesn't look like the radiator is loosing any coolant, it is towards the center of the car..so possibly a hose or worse :(

If it's leaking onto the ground, the rear heater if fitted has been known to have leaking pipes after some time. The rear heater is under the drivers seat on a UK model.

ok, wow, that could be bad...Im waiting to hear back on the diagnosis..

TBH, if it's not coming from the radiator, it's better news.

Leaking heater hoses or a core plug are much easier to repair than a cracked cylinder head.

Let's see what the investigation reveals, don't give up!

If it's the rear heater pipes leaking, it's very easy to disconnect them. Just don't let it lose water and ruin the engine by driving it. You won't, I know, it's just worth saying.

If it's the rear heater pipes, it's very easy to disconnect.

Or repair.... I'd be lost without my rear heater, at -20C, I can keep my rear passengers' feet toasty and still be able to breathe in the front!

Hi and welcome.
As said above if it's the rear heater pipes really easy to replace with rubber piping as I did mine.

if they WERE the issue, can we rejoice in their fixing? :-)
