Land Cruisers on TV/Film

Apologies if a similar thread already exists.

I just sat through Amazon’s new ‘Jack Ryan’ adaptation which was absolute dross but kind of worth it for the prominent cast of Cruisers and Hiluxes (and a tatty Patrol).

I don’t know if Toyota had anything to do with it - they’re probably keen to play down their popularity with Middle Eastern baddies.

Narcos has a lot of 60 and 80 series in it

Tom Cruise’s character’s ex wife’s partner drove a nice 100 series (Lexus LX470?) in War of the Worlds. Can’t recall ever seeing an 80 on the big screen though.

Well in the interests of authenticity, the production design team would have used many Toyota 4wd vehicles. They are ubiquitous in the ME, and especially out of the cities where conditions would totally shag an American pickup.
