Well guys what do you think, 12v draws about 2 thirds of an amp, Puts out equilivent of about 100W. It is about 6" Square. The one I have taken photos of is the one I am going to use for some uplighting in the garden (Hence its Blue) But should look even drighter in white (Plus I only had Blue LED's Spare. But all the same for less than a fiver I think its pretty nifty.

I dont suppose you could do a 40 inch long one at around 180/240w, for 50 quid could you?

:)

looks great, garden should look good at night.

Its on the way steve. Just planning through a couple of different options with the leds should be able to get hold of the bits for about £50 so was thinking if anyone wanted on i could do them for 65+p&p.

That'd be great as a reversing light.

Thats the plan Chas. 2@back for reverse 1 40" for the roof and a combination of rectangle and square ones for the front. Much like ryans setup.

I imagine the spread of light is large which is fine for a reversing light but would it work well on the roof? I assume the 40" will be pointing forward.

I think as a work/Off road light it would be spot on. I am yet to be totally convinced it would work brilliently as a driving/spot light. Depends on the throw. Which is why I am still looking at another couple of options for the front ones especially the 40"er. Whichever way I end up doing it they should still come in around the £65 mark.

Wow, garden looks great - that blue light around some of the pools we look after would be ace!
I have just fitted 2 tiny LED spots (about 50mm dia and 60 odd mm long) with 4 LED cree lamps in, pushing out 3000 lm each! Initial test in the garden looks good, but havent been out on the road (or off it!) yet, will try them tomorrow evening.
With regards to the 40" er, would it be possible to mix the lamps? ie spot and floods?
Either way, I would be up for one + a couple of smaller ones.
Keep us informed please ;)
Cheers
Steve
