Hi everyone. My 1989 LJ70 has finally succumbed to the dreaded tin worm. I'm told that it will cost upwards of £1500 to do the welding for it's MoT. I don't have the time to do it and so have decided to part with it.
Although it has done 216,000 miles, mechanically, there's little wrong with it and it has been driven most days up until last week. The original engine was replaced with a Mk2 18 months ago and prior to that, 4 years ago, the gearbox journals were replaced and new clutch fitted.
There are also stacks of mechanical bits and pieces and body panels available, including most of a chassis (less a suspension mounting which was cut out to go into this vehicle), the original engine (less fuel pump which is the only reason the engine was changed).
I would like to empty my garage and get rid of the vehicle and all parts at the same time.
