LJ78 auto gearbox filter

Looking info on servicing the autobox on a LJ78. I'm particularly interested in the location of the filter and where to buy it from. Any help would be apreciated.

You need to look in the FSM (factory service manual).

The manuals are still available from Toyota in paper format, or you can download them off the internet.

I think there are some 70 series service manuals available for download at the top of this page if you click on "service manuals".

From what I can gather, it has a strainer just above the sump. Some sugest cleaning the strainer. Has someone done this with good results?
