Map filter

Hi every one my first time on here , I have a Prado 120 all of a sudden when idling in park and when I press brake bad bad idling and black smoke , I did remove the map filter 3 weeks and have been driving with out one could soot going through cause these symptoms ?? Not sure what the cause is any suggestions muchly appreciated

Why did you remove the map filter?

Filter is there to stop the sensor getting dirty so clean the sensor and put the filter back in .

I replaced it and the map sensor also changed the egr valve and also closed of the egr cut the hose and put a screw in each end of hose , it’s gone back to idling normal all the time but black smoke when idling only not as bad though and the engine doesn’t sound like full power or something I’m puzzled I started the car with the intercooler of no smoke but obviously didn’t sound good but no black smoke I looked in the throttle thing where the flap thing is it is bit sticky if it’s sticking either open or closed could this be the cause ? Any help muchly appreciated
