Need help with VIN and Engine Decode...

Hi everyone, 75 FJ40 here I need help decoding the VIN.

VIN = FJ40196213 From what I read online it doest tell me much.

This VIN page talks about letters and numbers...however my VIN just has FJ for letters and thats it... am I looking at somthing wrong here...is there a production plate that has the numbers and letters located on it..
IE...soft top/hardtop/transmission/3speed/4speed??

Engine block number is 2F13030....

any help in this area or where to look would be great.



Yes I'm new to FJ ownership so be gentle...haha

Also, looking at pics, does this look like an original 4 speed or was it originally a 3 on tree then converted?

from the VIN it appears that your truck was originally for the US market and was either a soft top or had a swing out rear door but if memory serves the photos showed a lift up with swing out tailgate (or has old age kicked in and I'm confusing photos?). Assuming that I'm remembering the right photos, it would suggest that an earlier hardtop has been added. Are the soft top strap pins still on it or if not are the holes where they were filled/visible?
2f engine - 4200cc with 4 speed g/box. Possibly should have had a factory roll bar. Again if it's not there, the mounting points should be visible - just behind the front seats.
