Graham
Have looked at your pictures, all you're doing is making me jealous....
Nice to know your home cruiser is white, just like mine....snorkel the same,
but ma beast is battered up more than yours...well, it IS used for
offroading and for the Sahara...
Dorset, eh? I'm still doing my p/t PhD at Bournemouth - we should meet up
sometime, it would be nice to meet you both.
Thanks for sharing your images. You've been to loads of places!
Cheers
Renate

Hi Renate
I have some pictures, of Pakistan and elsewhere in my Photobucket.
http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y289/thesmiths64/
Ignore most of the first page as they are local ( Poole Dorset) pictures,
but the last 3 pages are mostly overlanding...
We are planning on returning to the UK via Pakistan end of 2007/early 2008
ish.
All the best
Graham.

I lurve the desert! say no more...
actually I would love you to show me some photos if you have any of your
travels. Do you have a website? I'll have mine up and running soon (when
I've purchased MBs for hosting it - I hear they're quite expensive, I'd like
about 200MBs ideally)
I've got photo albums of Algerian and Libyan Desert shots that I'll post
too.
With regards to Pakistan, I'm quite serious, I've never been to Pakistan.
Like Afghanistan its a country that I would love to visit. The environment
appeals to me.
I was wondering whether we could get to Pakistan, I don't mind taking the
risk so long as we cover our backs as it were.
Methinks I should start checking some more websites....and find some
interesting links hopefully
Did you know that Hunza is where those really nice small apricots come from?
(I would expect you do!), and, my domain, and do you know of the ancient
Indus Valley civilisations?
Maybe we should think about organising a trip? what do you think?
Regards
Renate

Hi Renate
Count me in too.
I love Pakistan - it has everything. Thar Desert, Balichistan Desert (
My favourite), Karakoram Range, Swat Valley, Gilgit and Hunza Valleys,
the greenery of the Indus Valley, Ft Munro Pass... Oh boy, I can go on
and on... and friendly helpful people.

Regards
Graham.

Maybe we could decide to make a date for Pakistan - there are places that
remind me so much of other places that I've been in Africa and I miss it
terribly!
I'm seriously contemplating the idea about going to Pakistan.

Renate

Anjam,
The truck made me think, then I found the next button.
Really good images, the rain smoothed sand dunes had an almost unreal look,
I can?t imagine anyone looked at them and didn?t want to be there, the
write
up mentions being close to the border, how safe is the area?
If only the world was a little more stable at the moment, imagine being
able
to travel anywhere in the world. (Not a political comment, just a wish!)

The Truck is just a first of a series of pictures. Click next (bottom
right)
to see the rest.
Did you guys think I was pulling your leg or something? Sorry if it was
unclear. This first picture just happens to be a decorated truck they came
across on their way to the desert.
