Seems to go up and down like a yoyo. It never goes above half or below into the danger zone. I'll check the dip stick tomorrow but does anyone have a idea of what is going on?
Mine definately goes above 1/2 but I'd have to watch it to give a proper outline of its behaviour. Might be worth getting your mechanic to hook up a gauge to check it out seeing as you don't know what's normal for that truck. Landcruiser oil pressure gauges often seem to be more a case of knowing what it normally does and looking out for a change in behaviour rather than being a reliable indication of actual pressure.
John the problem normally lies with the sensor and not the gauge. Mine changed almost overnight. Mechanic removed the sensor and tested the pressure with a normal gauge and perfect in limits. Replaced sensor and readings are back to normal and suddenly gauge is very responsive to RPM.
