One for the elec boffins

Since having added my ARB LED indicator and drive light combo to the bar my radio has started to exhibit some strange behavior.

On some but not all radio stations when i turn the light on or use my indicator the signal is lost and then as soon as i turn the light off or the indicator stops the signal resumes.

Whats odd is that its not on all stations and only some and i cant figure out why.

The led lights all work well there is no indication of slow flashing etc or dimming when they come on.

hi warren i think that you need to put a supresser on the power supply or the arial. its all to do with interferance in the signal. could even be that the power is to close to another wire. i will try to remember more about what to do.stu

LED's can be very noisy at RF and it sounds like yours are swamping the radio signals. Some frequencies will be more affected than others. It's possible it's just one of them is faulty or it might be cheap design and materials at work.
