I'm black, British and I love Southern Africa. It pains me to see Africa portrayed like this but until Africans get their act together and stop accepting the white man's charity then I suppose the joke is going to be on them (and me) for a very long time.
When I first lived in SA, I lived in a mixed community in Yeoville, Jo-Burg. It was great. All human life lived happily side by side in Yeoville. Then the Nigerians came and in the blink of an eye, the neighbourhood that I loved was reduced to a bombsite. There are alot of good, kind, intelligent and generous people in Africa who I'm afraid to say are surrounded on all sides by alot more stupid and corrupt ones and I can't see anything changing anytime soon....Shame!
