Hello All,
Well I just thought I would share a few more photo’s of a city in China.
Weifang is between Qingdao and Beijing.
This is Weifang, of no particular claim to fame, apart that it is the ‘World Kite Capital’
Has a station, with normal trains, sleeper trains, and the CRH high speed trains stopping many times a day.
This is a smallish city, of about 8 million.
It has good, if not great infrastructure, roads through the city are wide and strait.
Generally 5 lanes in each direction, the 4 car lanes, and a segregated lane for cycles, to keep them apart from the cars and trucks.
I have no idea about why it’s the kite capital, but I think it as always because there is a slight breeze blowing.
Weifang sits across 2 rivers.
The larger river is ‘Bailang River’
The smaller river is Yuhe River.
What amazes me is just how many pretty coloured lights the Chinese use, to make the evenings more nice.
I took the opportunity to snap a few day time pictures, and then a few night time pictures.
I believe this is part of the old city walls.
