Reversing Camera Recommendations Please

I have a Kenwood DMX7017DABS installed and would like to connect a reversing camera to it. I know Kenwood does a range and the CMOS230 gets good reviews (and must be compatible surely!) but but there are just so many alternatives available! I'm just going around in circles (forwards only at present )

So any recommendations as to preferred type and location (number plate/bumper/??) much appreciated. (I don't do any towing at present BTW)

I’ve got a mid priced JVC double din unit and I’ve wired up a very basic “pen-top” type camera mounted by simply drilling a hole in my rear ARB bumper...

Works ok, there’s no fancy reversing margin lines or such like of course, but it does the job for £15 or so off e-blag...

Thanks. Is that the type that fits same as and looks a bit like an additional parking sensor?

I guess so, from the outside it looks like this (if you can excuse the grotty look of my rear bumper these days, time for a repaint!)

On screen the image is like this, a bit fisheye, but ok with some careful practice...

The same image taken from my iPhone (obviously the reverse of a driver’s image) ...

I don’t necessarily recommend this, but it just goes to show you don’t have to spend a fortune... unless you want to...
