Been a busy weekend for the 95! Finally got round to making some Rocksliders with a friend of mine whi is a dab hand with a welder. This is the 3rd pair i have made for various 4x4s so i am finding it eassier each time! The Toyota has been the easiest to do by a mile, only one hole needed to be drilled in the chassis, i got away with using existing holes for all the others.

Best bit is it only takes 10 minutes to get them on or off. 3 bolts each side and hey presto  !

Really pleased!

See what you think (P.S. excuse the paint job, i had limited time!! )

Sorry lots of pictures warning!!!! :D

the truck is looking good , best colour

how do you find those tyres at that size on the road ?

whats the offset and size for the steel rims ?

they are what i was considering going for once the suspension is lifted.

cheers roy

No problems with the tyres on the road at all. The wheels are a 0 offset if my memory serves me

they make a nice look

One point to note is I would try and get a gusset on the front face about the tube, if you were to come down on the slider and the front plate bend it will crush the chassis rail, the fisxing idea may be neat but it isnt very strong, again if any impact force is placed on the slider the chassis rail will collapse.

Only a word of advice not critism so please dont take offense ;)

Thanks for the advice mate. I will have a look at that.

The mounting plate i used is the full depth of the chassis rail so the edges of the mounting plate finish at the top and bottom edge of the chassis rail which should be the strongest point. I will get a peice welded in to be extra safe

This is the good thing about forums paul.

We use other peoples advice etc. Its great.

Rock sliders look great as does the truck
