running swivel hubs in oil

Hello, Time to strip and repack my front wheel bearings and will do the swivel hubs as well. I do a lot of river crossing so like to keep on top of them. Has anyone run their landcruiser swivel hubs in oil instead of grease? I know a lot of people run the rear in oil and have no problems. I'm going to do that soon too. I know some model Land Rovers use oil in the front. Terrain Tamer in Australia do a heavy duty swivel seal kit that should solve any leak issues. Just interested in opinions or if anyone has done it. Just use water resistant cv grease. Yes land rovers use oil and they leak all the time that's why even for those land rover now recommends and sells "one shot" tub of cv grease
