Anyone every used either of these services?

I've just had stuff picked up from Greg's and ended up paying £70 for same day. The nearest "real" courier was £97 exVAT.

You sign up, put in what you want shipped, from where to where (international as well) and a bit of personal detail. Couriers, man-with-vans etc then bid on the job. You review and accept the lowest bid. If you're not in a hurry, the bids will just get lower and lower.

You can see past experiences with the person, if they have insurance or not etc so you're not flying totally blind.

180 mile round trip for a collection and drop off in the same day - would have cost me more in fuel to go and collect it.

Pretty funky services.

One "catch" though, shiply, you still have to add the auction fee to what you pay. uShip, the driver pays ( for him  for me)

Fuel must be very expensive round your way :)

Have used shiply for 3 things so far, moving lexus to wc 4x4 80 miles for £50, toolbox from derby to bingley £30 and best value a warn xp 9 winch off eBay from Devon to bingley £35!! That said they have all taken multiple calls and emails to sort and taken up to 3 weeks to get to destination. Good if you don't have the time

I have used shiply a couple of times. No complaints.

I tend to use P4D a lot now as its cheap as chips. A cylinder head from Aberdeen to Bournmouth cost just £9 next day. 2 hilux leaf springs sent in seperate boxes to London cost £14.
