They are plastic and that's what I've got stuck on mine at the moment, it
does work, but it's a bit wibbley woblley if you know what I mean. I first
tried to get one at Halfords but they don't do them so I was told, but found
one at a local auto supplies and that cost ?8.

For *really* cheap buy a self-adhesive piece of glass from any car parts
shop and stick it on. Won't be the right size, but will work.
