Something different for Camping

Sites usually have 16A blue outlets for caravans which is more than adequate to run the 3kw with approx 1kw to spare. Continental Schuko plugs are often 16A but sometimes 10A.

This may help…

There would be ways to cut back the current drawn with a big dimmer switch or 'power controller'. I could make you a box of tricks to drop it back but would need to trial it to make sure the pump part of the heater worked ok.

Is your Eberspacher heater lacking any sound insulation around it?

I do like the kenlow idea.

the heater is just as is mate. I did think about putting it in an insulated box once I fit it properly.

I'm pretty sure your noise is from the intake for the Eberspacher, mine is pretty loud and let's face it, these things are used extensively in motor homes and the like so there must be some way to do things quietly.

Karl
can you show (photos) how your heater is connected to the hoses on the RTT.
Do you connect (or always connected?) them when you stop to camp?
