I've just found this post on another forum and thought I'd post it here:

" The Citroen Guys Eh.

That will be me!!!

Sorry if this sounds like a blatent add, it is not supposed to be. I was asked to post here by an owner and I guess a member of this forum.

My company name is Pleiades. (the Citroen hydraulics specialists)

We have been working on hydraulic suspension systems since 1980, mainly on Citroen with a chunk of Maserati and Rolls Royce thrown in to the mix.

Recently we have been asked if we can do something about the Toyota spheres. Upon close inspection they are very much like the Citroen units although they have a different method of fixing to the vehicle.

The big problem is that when the Toyota sphere goes "flat" the diaphragm inside gets damaged, this as with the Citroen sphere makes the sphere scrap metal.

If caught before the sphere goes flat then the sphere can be re-conditioned and this is very cost effective, the only problem being that we do not have any core units to send out for these vehicles. The solution was for us to make a suitable sphere from stock to fit the Toyota, this we have done using a sphere screwed into an adapter to fit the Toyota. The stock sphere is very slightly smaller than the Toyota sphere but it makes no difference to the ride according to users.

The cost of re-conditioning the original sphere is £45.00 per sphere + vat

The cost of the replacement part is £100.00 + vat per sphere.

We can be contacted by phone on 01487 831239

We are located in Sawtry Cambridgeshire on Junction 15 of the A1M.

The best contact is by phone as I am a complete dinosaur with computor stuff and it has taken me about an hour just to find this site, register and type this!

There would have been a photo, but I fix cars and bits for cars, putting photo's on forums is not easy, I will try later.

Regards
Martin"

So in short for £600 you can replace ALL FOUR CORNERS and have a complete AHC flush ensuring that your ride will ride as sweet as a nut for the foreseeable future. Compare that to Mr T prices! This NOW makes it possible for anyone to run a LC100 without running into debt maintaining it.

Now this is what I call a result!

I get the same feeling sometimes.

Ya. Thiz Great.
Read it before. Wish they were a bit more centrally located. (Meaning Oslo  )
Still, I wouldn't mind using them if the shipping doesn't kill it. Or maybe next time I visit your island...
Maybe they could fill up my old set, as they are not completely flat.

Would you use their citroen globes with adaptor? Do you know the capacity of those? Think the OEM ones are 400 cc front and 500 cc rear.

utu

I just think that this gives us pro AHC boys and girls another viable option than paying Mr T's over the top prices. I don't know about you but I like driving in comfort.

Guys

I can recommend Martin without hesitation! I completely rebuilt the suspension / steering / brakes on my two Citroen XM's in the 90's with his help! Parts he supplied were generally remanufactured, often innovated and although he had a workshop to feed with work, he was always very happy to give advice on how to do a job.

The more we get him involved on our LC's the more worthwhile it will be for him to look at other parts on the AHC system and allow us to cut mr T out of the equation.

Btw Martin, thanks for making yourself known, there are some real gents on this forum and in the case of the AHC I'm sure all are happy for you to promote your offerings here!
