Techstream injector compensation codes

I have got two versions of techstream a ver 12 and a ver 16, both versions connect to my 120 and let me read all the data available.
The issue I have is when I go into utilities it does not give me the option to recode injectors on either version 12 or 16.
When I connect to vehicle and it asks for vehicle details it will only allow me to select vehicle type which I put as kdj and the third box down which I select kdj12 the other option is kdj9, all the other boxes are greyed out.
Any ideas much appreciated.

Quick update the only way i can select all the vehicle options is to select japan as my country then all the vehicle info boxes are available, the only issue is with japan selected I can see compensation code option and read engine data but link to car keeps crashing, this works without issues on any country except japan.
