My 94 has a Witter bar, has the piece of angle on either chassis rail
that they all seem to have, but also has a plate that goes from the bar
to the 4 holes in the rear cross member. For taking the trailer to the
tip etc I don't bother with that plate so it's only 4 bolts through the
angle to get it on / off.
Best Regards,
Jon.

Have any of you tried/used a Witter tow bar?
I need a tow bar for the 80 - ideally I want to make my own one that
ties in with a rear bumper/carrier combo and is easy to remove (there
are a couple of places where I drive where I always ended up catching
on large rocks with the tow bar on my last 80), but in the meantime
need to do some towing and have seen the Witter bars heavily advertised
on EBay.
