Iv got 84 fj60 sometimes the 4wd dont work... it works on flat ground but on incline front diff dont pull... any ideas would be great

Sorry if this sounds a little simple but sometimes it is the little thing, we had the same thing with a 60 we were playing off road with a few years ago and it was one of the freewheel hub lock had not locked in so after a little fiddling with it all was ok.

Hi have you check oil in the transmission good like with it tonytoyota

check the RS motor mount. when the motor surges it twists, if the mount is weak or torn it will cause the linkage to yank it out of 4wd. fix mount, adj linkage
