Transmission Control Cable

Hi,
I have a 2005 LC4, D4 D, the transmission control cable has been damaged by a lump of wood that flicked up while going across a field, a new part is £500+ and in Belgium.
Theres a cable from a 2004 LC5 at a breakers, they dont have the original Reg No, so I cant check part numbers, but any idea if the cable from a 2004 would fit a 2005 ?

Don't know for sure but I think 2006 was the year they did the facelift so I'd guess it would be the same for 04 to 05.
