turb pressure sensor

Hi All,
I have found a vacuum pipe floating by the injector pump on my KZJ70(1KZT
Engine).
It would appear after much investigation, it has come from the turbo
pressure sensor bolted onto the manifold above the injector pump.
Can anyone explain what this does?
Is it just for the light on the dash or does it do something with the pump?
Thanks
Martin.

Cut and paste from a recent email by Craig in NZ.
Hi Malcolm,
The boost thing is a little more complex as there is a boost compensator on
the injection pump that to a degree controls fuelling relative to boost.
Don't know if it's relevant but it's in the right area.

Hi Malcolm,
Thanks for the info, unfortunately its snapped off the sensor so it's not a
matter of just putting the pipe back on.
I might whip it off tomorrow and see it I can superglue it back together.
This could explain why it chugs a bit occasionally I guess?
Thanks
Martin.
